The Olympic Committee of Serbia Trophy – The most successful athletes

Since 1994 the Executive Board of the YOC has decided to announce the most successful athletes during the celebration of the Day of NOC Serbia at the end of each year.

The election for the most successful athletes was carried out by the members of the NOC Executive Board to the Sports Federation proposal.

The Criteria:

1. The election for the best athletes, teams and coaches was carried out among sport disciplines that are listed on the Olympic Games programme, the Paralympics programme and programme of the Chess Olympiad.   
2. The best results are these achieved in the following competitions:
• The Olympic Games
• The World Championship
• The European Championship
• The World Cups (Grand prix – for the athletics, International A Tournament -judo etc)
• The European Cups
• The Paralympics
• The Chess Olympiad
3. The most successful coach could be the one who have achieved best results in the competitions, where he  has participated as the member of the national team of Serbia (according to the Article 2 of this Criteria)
4. In case of equal results, the best athletes will been chosen based on the advantage that individual sports have over team sports, with the exception of the athletes of a team sport who was announced as the best player of the Olympics, the World Championship and the European Championship
5. Widespread popularity of the sports in the world
6. The number of the athletes that could be registered for the competitions by each country (according to the Article 2 of this Criteria)
7. In case of none achieving the best results for the year of announcing the most successful athletes and teams, there will be no election (according to the Article 2 of this Criteria).
