NOC Serbia – organization
The Olympic Committee of Serbia is a non-government, non-political and non-profit sports organization that belongs to the Olympic Movement and honors the basic principals of the International Olympic Movement contained in the Olympic Charter and the Anti-Doping Code of Conduct.
Main objectives of the Olympic Committee of Serbia are: spreading the Olympic ideas and continuous development of sport in general; development and protection of the Olympic Movement in Serbia, and representation of the country at the Olympic Games, but also at the world, continental and regional competitions held under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee.
The Olympic Committee of Serbia has inherited the tradition of the Serbian Olympic Club founded in 1910, and the Yugoslav Olympic Committee who succeeded it in 1919, as well as the Olympic Committee of Serbia and Montenegro who succeeded it on 3rd April, 2003, and lasted until 8th June, 2006.
